BAUS Data and Audit Project

In conjunction with Nuvola

BAUS AuditIn recognition of the impact of audit on the revalidation process, BAUS, in conjunction with Nuvola, has developed an online web-based database for the collection of all the BAUS datasets as a service to our members.

The system was launched at the Annual Meeting in Glasgow in June 2009.

Upgraded version of the system launched 20 Jan 2013

Version 2.1 of the BAUS Data & Audit System (Nuvola system) launched on 20 January 2013. It features extensive changes to the way patients / audits can be followed up

A new registry for ureteroscopic ureteric stone surgery has also now been released.

Audits

Initially, the BAUS Data & Audit system incorporated the Section of Oncology's register of newly diagnosed tumours, together with the complex procedures and nephrectomy datasets (oncology and endourology). Other Section audits have now been added, including:

Details of the datasets and file import guidance for each of the audits are available on the relevant pages.

If you wish to use any of the BAUS data for research purposes please complete and return the online application form to Sarah Fowler.

Members Login

For security reasons, it is not possible to give members direct access to the data and audit system. Since the databases hold patient information, we have put in place a very secure system and members are therefore, required to complete a separate login to access the data and audit system.

All full members have login details for the system. If you have lost (or forgotten) your password, please use the "forgotten password" link in the Data & Audit system or contact Sarah Fowler, BCR and Audits Manager.

Access for Data Coordinators

Data Co-Ordinators who normally send annual returns to the BAUS databases can be given access so that they can enter data on behalf of the Consultants they work with. The Consultant member needs to log in and fill in the online form in the members area. If you have any difficulties with this please contact Sarah Fowler.
