This is a young and dynamic department with a large clinical throughput. We run a research programme in conjunction with the Professor of Surgery, Michael Kerin. We are currently looking at micro-RNA studies in prostate cancer and kidney cancer. We are involved in a number of clinical trials with sponsorship from the MRC, from industry and from ICORG; we hope to present and publish on a more frequent basis in the years to come.
