The North East Region is an area of outstanding natural beauty, including Northumberland National Park, Teesdale, Weardale and a beautiful coastline. The urology services extend to Carlisle and the northern Lake District. The area has two National Heritage sites, Hadrian's Wall and Durham Cathedral.
The major urban centres are Tyneside, Wearside & Teesside, based on the coal and ship-building industries which once dominated the area.
The North of England Urology Society (NEUS) meets twice a year & actively promotes urology services in the North East as well as providing a forum for members to interact.
