Bladder
- BOXIT. A randomised Phase III placebo-controlled trial evaluating the addition of celecoxib to standard treatment od transitional cell carcinoma of the bladder
- LaMB. A Phase II/III randomised, two-arm comparison of maintenance lapatinib versus placebo after first-line chemotherapy in patients with HER1 and/or HER2 over-expressing, locally-advanced or metastatic bladder cancer
- SUCCINCT. A Phase II single-arm trial to evaluate cisplatin and gemcitabine chemotherapy in combination with sunitinib for first-line treatment of patients with advanced transitional cell carcinoma of the urothelium
- HYMN. A randomised controlled trial comparing hyperthermia plus mitomycin to a second course of BCG or institutional standard of care in patients with recurrence of non-muscle invasive bladder cancer following BCG induction & maintenance
- Eribulin. An open-label multicentre randomised Phase Ib/II study of eribulin mesylate administered in combination with gemcitabine plus cisplatin versus gemcitabine plus cisplatin alone as first-line therapy for locally-advanced or metastatic bladder cancer
- TOUCAN. A randomised Phase II trial of carboplatin and gemcitabine ± vandetanib in first-line treatment of advanced urothelial cancer in patients who are not suitable to receive cisplatin
- TK1258. A Phase II multicentre non-randomised open label study of TK1258 in patients with either FGFR3 mutated or FGFR3 wild-type advanced urothelial carcinoma
- PhD Thesis. Understanding resistance mechanisms to HER2-directed therapy of bladder cancer

- Understanding anxiety & depression in prostate cancer patients. A feasibility study and qualitative evaluation of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) for the management of anxiety and depression in men with prostate cancer during their active surveillance stage of treatment (included in a programme of research to be funded and conducted by the NIHR School for Primary Care Research)
Kidney
- SORCE. A Phase III randomised double-blind study comparing sorafenib with placebo in patients with resected primary renal cell carcinoma at high or intermediate risk of relapse
- RAD001. A randomised open-label multicentre Phase II study to compare bevacizumab plus RAD001 versus interferon-alpha-2a plus bevacizumab for the first-line treatmen of patients with metastatic clear cell carcinoma of the kidney
- INTORACT. A Phase IIIB randomised open-label study of bevacizumab and tmesirolimus versus bevacizumab and interferon-alpha as first-line treatment in subjects with advanced renal cell carcinoma
- COSAK. A randomised Phase II study evaluating cediranib versus cediranib and saracatanib in patients with relapsed metaststic clear cell cancer

- Catheter/bladder cycling. The role of stretching in maintaining bladder health in catheterised patients, looking at cytokine expression in cintinuously-drained and cycled bladders.
- Haemoglobinopathy. Genetic and molecular studies funded by the Sudanese government, conmcentrating on beta-s haptotypes and sickle-cell disease
