The Progress Prostate Cancer Support Group has been set up in Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport to support patients with prostate cancer and to foster research into the disease.

Urologists in Wales have been part of the Welsh Urological Society for over 20 years. The current society chairman is Malcolm Lucas (Swansea).
