The West Midlands region is largely based in and around Birmingham (pictured left), Britain's second largest city, but also covers a wide geographical area from Hereford in the south to Stoke on Trent in the north and from Coventry in the east to Shrewsbury in the west.
Birmingham itself is a dynamic hub with a huge range of cultural and sporting centres, restaurants and leisure facilities and it has excellent communication links with the rest of the UK.
It often comes as a surprise to people that the surrounding countryside is some of the most attractive in the UK.
