The on-line PCNL Data Registry commenced in January 2010 and has recently been modified in response to comments from Section Members.
This is a prospective method of data collection that will enable contributors to audit their practise for this complex stone procedure.
The BAUS Section of Endourology Data and Audit Committee remain grateful to all those surgeons who contribute to this registry and are confident this will provide essential data, such as outcome measures, against which urologists can benchmark their practise. All members participating in the audit receive personal feedback sheets.
Total PCNL returns as at November 2012 were 1928 from 86 consultants at 71 centres. Download the latest report below.
The updated dataset was released on the Nuvola system on 19 January 2011 and the full dataset, with changes highlighted in red can be viewed here.
The system has been modified so that your radiological colleagues can also have access to the PCNL register, to arrange this please contact Sarah Fowler, BAUS database manager.
Submission of data
The only method for returning data for the PCNL registry is via the BAUS data and audit system. No paper returns or extracts from the old Access databases are now accepted.
Any paper forms submitted to Sarah Fowler or the BAUS office will be returned to sender.
