Lithotomy Instruments (Leicester Collection)

A really nice boxed set of lithotomy instruments from the Leicester Collection.

There are also two Thompson Lithotrites for use in blind lithotrity and stone forceps for open lithotomy.

Bistuary Cache (Willis Collection)
A Bistuary Cache This concealed blade is used for opening the perineal wound at lithotomy. This instrument was photographed by Mr Geoff Willis in the Manchester Medical School museum in the 1970's.
Gorget & Stone forceps (Willis Collection)
A gourget for dilating the perineal wound and stone grasping forceps to remove the stone. These instruments were photographed by Mr Geoff Willis in the Manchester Medical School museum in the 1970's.
