Oberlander Dilator

Oberlander Urethral Dilator (Goddard Collection)

Designed by Felix Martin Oberländer (1849 - 1915) of Dresden.

Oberlander was the son of the Marz-Minister in Dresden and a colleague of Max Nitze at the Fredrichstadt Hospital

Oberlander Dilator
As you can see, the style is similar to the Otis urethrotome with which we are all familiar. This, however, is just a dilator and has no cutting blade.
