The Eastern Urology Group (EUG) will now hold its annual, all-day academic meeting on 23 July 2021 at Novotel Stansted and all interested are invited. We aim to do a combined virtual and face to face meeting pending corona virus regulations at that time.
The AGM and dinner for EUG will take place the evening before (22 July), from 19:00hr. All Consultants and the BSoT regional representative is invited to the evening, but you will need to register by sending an email on the link below.
You will also need to register for the all-day meeting on the 23rd July 2021 which has focus on trainee education and educational updates in the morning.
The afternoon has two invited speakers. Ian Eardley, will talk on medico-legal matters, with a title: "How a bad day at work can become a career threatening episode (and how best to avoid trouble)”. The second speaker in the afternoon is Professor Roger Kirby who will talk about “British Urology; Past, Present and Future Perspectives”.
The day will finish with a presentation by Suzanne Biers on “Research in the East of England: An NIHR perspective” followed by trainees’ presentations which will be quality-assessed and a prize awarded for the presentation with the highest score.
If you are planning to submit an abstract then it will need to be subnitted no later than 30 June 2021. Click here to submit your abstract by email. The EUG organising committee will shortlist a limited number of presentationa (max 8) for live/pre-recorded presentation, and the surplus of submitted abstracts can be presented as posters for the day. There will be a prize given for the best presentations.
The presentations should be no longer than five minutes, followed by time for questions. Abstracts should be limited to one A4 page with the normal section headings:

The hotel has agreed to discount their price to £90-95 B&B per night if you mention that you are attending the meeting. The venue provides free, on-site parking and free Wi-Fi.
