Access to BSUG database for BAUS Members

For SUI surgery

A message from: Sheilagh Reid, Chair, BAUS Section of Female, Neurological & Urodynamic Urology

"As members are aware, following the closure of the BAUS SUI registry and pending the development of the national registry, it is important that surgeons continue to audit their outcomes of SUI surgery.

"BAUS has made a skeleton spreadsheet available on the members' area of the website to allow full data capture for your own records during the interim period. As an alternative option, BSUG are willing to offer BAUS members access to their database. In order to access the BSUG database, urologists would need to join BSUG as Associate Members: instructions for doing this are given below, and the cost is £60 per annum.

"To join BSUG as an Associate Member, complete your details on this page:

  • Select "Urologist" from the Staff Grade drop-down list;
  • Click on "Associate International" button for the list of membership options (please note, urology Associate Members do not get affiliate membership of IUGA), then
  • Make your payment.

The BSUG membership staff will automatically pass your contact details to the database administrator, Amanda King, who will set you up on the BSUG database and forward the login details to you.

"It is, of course, up to the individual to decide how they wish to record their SUI data.

"As soon as we have more information about the National Registry, we will share it with you."
