The course objective is to educate and train attendees on the principles of prostate enucleation and morcellation, in a supportive and hands-on practical environment.
The emphasis during the course will be hands-on training on restructured animal tissue models and Thiel embalmed human cadavers, whilst the relevant key clinical elements will be addressed by the experts in the subject areas. The course will be taught by consultant urologists.
The atmosphere is relaxed and informal, allowing easy exchange of ideas and experiences.
Learning outcomes
- Educate attendees on the principles of holmium laser usage, working elements and morecellators;
- Educate on the safe manner to perform a prostate enucleation and morecellation;
- Introducing 'Tips and Tricks' to improve efficiency during the procedure; and
- Managing complications encounted and prevention techniques.
