This one-day flexible cystoscopy course is aimed for urology trainees, speciality doctors and nurses. The program is CPD structured and features a blend of teaching methods, including lectures on relevant anatomy, video demonstrations of the procedures and interactive sessions.
The afternoon session consists of several hands-on training sessions using bladder models, allowing participants to perform flexible cystoscopy under faculty supervision. Trainees are taught to recognize normal / abnormal cystoscopic findings and to correlate these with clinical scenarios. Adjunct procedures commonly performed during flexible cystoscopy including ureteric stent removal, botox and urethral stricture dilatation are also included in the hands-on training.
By the end of the day, attendees will have gained both theoretical knowledge and hands-on training to perform flexible cystoscopy safely and effectively.
