The Specialist Urology Registrars' Group (SURG) was formed over 30 years ago, with the aim of promoting “high standards in the practice of the science of urology”.

In 2018, SURG was delighted to join BAUS, re-branded as the BAUS Section of Trainees (BSoT), giving Specialty Registrars in urology an ongoing opportunity to contribute to the future of our specialty, with the support of our National Association.

Our aims, now, are to act as an advocate for trainees by promoting excellence in training, education, welfare and support, thus ensuring that future urologists can - and will - provide the best care possible for their patients.

The Educational Lead for trainees is Mr Owen Hughes (pictured right), Consultant Urological Surgeon at University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff: please click here if you wish to send him an email.
