BAUS Essential Audit Frameworks
A message from Dominic Hodgson, on behalf of the BAUS Education Committee (Dec 2018):
“The audit frameworks below are intended to encourage individual departments to check quality of care in key areas against agreed standards, with pointers for improvement where appropriate.
The frameworks have been kept deliberately short and simple, to encourage their widespread use, and it is anticipated that the each audit could be completed in a couple of half-days. Any healthcare professional can perform them, and we would hope that the findings would be presented to the department with the potential to result in learning for the whole team.
Each framework will be reviewed periodically, and has the main author’s email address attached. Please make contact with the author if you have suggestions for improvement, or contact your BAUS section representatives if you have ideas for future audits."
