ESSIC (European Society for the Study of Interstitial Cystitis) has expanded over the years to become an international society for the study of Bladder Pain Syndrome. This year, the conference will be held at the Royal Society of Medicine in London.
The conference attracts an international group of invited scientists and clinicians to present the latest on this complex debilitating disease. It is a great forum to update knowledge, exchange ideas and to inspire new research. The meeting also encourages submission of abstracts for presentation.

ESSIC is a highly regarded organisation. The ESSIC diagnostic criteria and classification published in 2008 were promptly adopted by both the European Association of Urology and the American Urological Association.
