BAUS Office Staff

Mary Suphi (Chief Executive Officer)

Mary joined the team in September 2024 as Chief Operating Officer, and was appointed to the post of CEO in February 2025.  As CEO, her main responsibilities at BAUS include Trustees & Council, Governance, the BAUS Education Committee and the JCU Editorial Board.

Natasha Clarkson (Head of Operations)

Natasha joined the team in May 2025 as Head of Operations. She works closely with Mary Suphi (our CEO, above) and looks after all things Finance, IT and HR related.

Wes Hutchins (Communications Manager)

Wes joined the team in January 2025. His main responsibilities are internal communications across the organisation – including content generation for the website and WebApp – as well as external communications / PR and social media.

Hannah Doyle (Business Development Manager)

Hannah joined the team in 2009 and now focuses on the strategic partnerships we have with industry to develop new, funded educational opportunities.  Hannah works closely with Louisa, as Head of Education, to explore how we can grow the educational portfolio we currently have. Hannah works part time.

Harry Heald (Events Manager)

Harry joined the team in 2015. His main responsibilities are the BAUS Annual Scientific meeting and the various section meetings.

Louisa Hermans (Head of Education)

Louisa joined the team in 2015.  She works with the BAUS Education Steering Group (ESG), Audit Steering Group (ASG) and the Specialist Sections to develop BAUS’s educational offering. Louisa works Tuesday to Friday.

Judith Mitchell (Membership Lead)

Judith joined the team in September 2018. She works with the CEO across a range of membership and finance administration, workforce data management and the Widening Participation Working Group. Judith works three days per week.

Beverly Tomkins (BAUS Administrator)

Beverly joined the team in 2019. She works with the Chief Executive & President on BAUS Council & Trustee matters, membership applications, Continuous Professional Development (CPD) applications, workforce data, administration of BAUS sections and dissemination of the Journal of Clinical Urology (through its Editorial Board).

Chloe Austin (Events Coordinator)

Chloe joined the team in September 2023. Her main responsibilities are leading the various Section Meetings and coordinating with the BAUS Annual Scientific Meeting (including Sponsorship & Exhibition).

Ellie Pakes (Events Assistant)

Ellie joined the team in September 2024. Her main responsibilities are the Education Courses (Core Urology Course & BAUS FRCS Urol Revision Courses), the various Section Meetings and assisting with the BAUS Annual Scientific Meeting.
