Altaf Mangera (Chair)
Altaf Mangera is a consultant urologist working at the Princess Royal spinal Injuries centre and Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield and is also a senior clinical lecturer at the University of Sheffield. His specialist interests include reconstructive urology, spinal cord injury, neuropathic bladder, tissue engineering, Andrology, male sexual dysfunction and fertility. He was appointed BAUS Audit Steering Group committee Chair in 2026.

Louisa Hermans (BAUS Head of Education)
Louisa was appointed Head of Education for BAUS in 2025, and works in the London offices. She collated the data for the now discontinued BAUS Clinical Registries (with Sarah Fowler) and then co-ordinated the move into the National Clinical Information Programme which collects and analyses clinical audit data, for all surgeons, on a nationwide basis. She is also responsible for the administration and assessment of the BAUS Snapshot Audits.

Magda Kujawa (Member)
Magda is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Stepping Hill Hospital, Stockport and joinedthe Executive Committee of the Section of Functional & Reconstructive Urology in 2021. She took over the role of Secretary to the committee with effect from January 2025.

Edward Rowe (Member)
Ed is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at North Bristol Hospitals NHS Trust. With a specialist interest in prostate, bladder, kidney and penile cancer, he works as part of one of the busiest UK uro-oncolgy team. He is the urology cancer lead, and works to develop robotic prostate and bladder surgery.

With a specialist interest in prostate, bladder, kidney and penile cancer, he works as part of one of the busiest UK uro-oncolgy team. He is the urology cancer lead, and works to develop robotic prostate and bladder surgery.

Rob is an Urology Registrar at the Freeman Hospital (North East Deanery). He is currently out of programme doing a PhD examining recurrent kidney stone disease funded by NIHR. He is member of EAU Guidelines Panel on Urolithiasis and was, until recently, sub-Editor for Statistics at JCU.

Suzie Venn (Member)
Suzie is a Consultant Urological Surgeon on the South Coast, specialising in reconstruction and functional Urology. She has been chair of Urolink since 2015, and has focused its efforts on developing 3 project sites in East Africa, with support from TUF, BJUI and BAUS. Future plans include widening support to other centres in East Africa, and beyond, by involving more BAUS members and trainees in the work, and increasing funding.
