The course is limited to 4 delegates and will involve the delegate being the primary surgeon with one-on-one expert Consultant assistance / coaching to perform a variety of laparoscopic and endourological procedures. Preference will be given based on previous endourological and laparoscopic experience to those who have shown an interest in this sub-speciality area. Delegates have always found this course useful and feedback from the 2012 and the 2013 courses is available.
Following the course in 2012, Jake Patterson visited Oliver Traxer's unit in Paris. Read his report here.
Unfortunately the 2016 course was cancelled due to the junior doctors strike.
The BAUS Endourology Committee has also attempted to compile a list of courses that might be of use to section members. They have been split into laparoscopy, PCNL and ureteroscopy. Please click on the relevant links below to view the course details.
The tables include an estimate of the appropriate level of training for each course, where this information is known. If you wish to add a course to this list, please e-mail the section.
