JUNE 2026

In April 2026, Tamsin Greenwell, Nikesh Thiruchelvam, Husay Janebdar, Suzie Venn and Lap Yan Leung, as part of her TUF Urolink fellowship, travelled to KCMC in Tanzania to deliver a week-long training workshop focused on female urinary incontinence and pelvic floor disorders. Working alongside local consultants, residents and medical students, the team provided lectures, practical teaching, surgical training and multidisciplinary case discussions. The workshop marked a significant milestone with the first urodynamic studies performed in Tanzania, helping to establish a foundation for future specialist services.

The visit highlighted both the need for more FFU training and resources, and the strong local enthusiasm to grow these services, with plans for future workshops and ongoing collaboration to help build local expertise.
