Educational Resources on the BAUS Website

To categorise educational resources into individual groups is almost impossible because many resources go across a number of boundaries. Therefore, this page simply contains a listing of areas on the website that have educational content - organised by the sub-headings of the website menu system. Non-clinical educational items (e.g. BAUS rules) are also included for completeness, but patient-centred resources are NOT included.

My BAUS (BAUS members only)

Data & Audit Programme - snapshot audits are an important part of education (and participation in systematic audit is a mandatory part of training) ... there are currently 10 audits listed; BAUS-GIRFT page links are essential for education and service improvement (see Professionals below)
COVID-19 - educational but probably no longer relevant
Journals - online access to the two BAUS journals (British Journal of Urology International & Journal of Clinical Urology), and to BJUI Knowledge (for members only) ... essential for general education and for self-assessment (leading to revalidation)
Infographics for Urological Cancer - provides clinicians with audited data to educate patients
Webinars & Podcasts - the webinar links have disappeared (deleted by someone), but a new list of podcasts (Beyond The Cystoscope), to which I don't have access, are now available here ! Deleted webinars are still available in the e-Learning archive (see Education below)

Sections

Each section has its own guidelines, podcasts & videos - already reviewed in previous discussions. Some are out-of-date, some need removing and a suggestion to add the full EAU Guideline document is useless because one has to be a paid-up member of tge EAU to access the full guidelines. There has been no maintenance of this information for several years - it needs to be handed to each section to take responsibility for the info contained

Urolink has many educational resources but these are primarily for overseas trainees and should probably remain within the Urolink section.

Training - large amount of educational resources
Deleted training information - audio notes (published but not displayed) & written notes (published but not displayed). There is BSoT talk of revising these (a huge task) and combining them with someone else's information

Virtual Museum (unrestricted)

There is a huge amount of educational information in the Virtual Museum but this cannot be easlily categorised outside the Museum area, and should probably remain as "standalone" information within its own section. However ...

BAUS Annual Scientific Meetings - every ASM is listed in the Museum with educational links to videos, PDFs, photos (official & unofficial) etc, where available. Some of the links are no longer available because companies providing the source media have gone out of business or no longer hold them in stock. More recent meeting media is held by BAUS (or so I believe)
