... this row of beech trees in Stranocum, Ballymoney has been made famous as the 'Kings Road' in the TV series 'Game of Thrones', but they won't last forever. Beech trees generally live for around 150 - 300 years, and these were planted around 1775. A few have succumbed to storms over the last few years ..."

Making the ascent with a qualified mountain guide was the only way to go on this occasion because the ascent was absolutely alpine, but once the sleet-storm stopped and we got above the cloud, it was spectacular! ..."
