Similar to today's Otis
Designed by Felix Martin Oberländer (1849 - 1915) of Dresden, the style of this exhibit is very similar to the Otis urethrotome with which we are all familiar. This, however, is just a dilator and has no cutting blade.

Oberländer was the son of the Marz-Minister in Dresden and a colleague of Max Nitze at the Fredrichstadt Hospital.
This exhibit was made by CG Hynemann of Leipzig.
