The prostatic punch was designed as an early attempt to resect the prostate. The procedure was a technically difficult and, often, very bloody operation.
Its proponents in Great Britain joined together to form "The Punch Club" and the club has kindly made available some "cartoon" videos of the procedure.

The boxed set contains all the components of the Swinney modification of the Thompson punch from the Leicester collection. This exhibit was kindly donated by Mr Ray Roy.
